L'OCD è semplice nei
controlli: i classici 3 (volume, drive e tono), un input e un output,
due modalità (Hp e Lp) attivabili con uno switch, un led blu molto
bello, alimetazione a batteria 9 volt o con alimentatore anche a 18v,
solido e true-bypass.
Il tessuto sonoro è di quelli che non lasciano dubbi sulla qualità,
questo è il mio primo Fulltone, ma so che è un marchio tra i più
"venerati" e a ragione!
Si passa dalla delicatezza del velluto alla pura lana vergine (magari a
contatto diretto con la pelle!), con molta facilità; il volume è
notevole e le frequenze quelle giuste, ovvero non vi sono "scavi" né
eccessi.
Il nocciolo dell'Obsessive Compulsive Drive (questo è il suo nome
completo) è quello switch posto in alto...
HP (high pick): ci da un suono molto caldo e dinamico, medioso e con
bassi da "botta" valvolare... nonostante non lo sia affatto, è
utilizzabile come overdrive, fino ad arrivare alla corposità con accordi
pieni.
LP (low pick): questa modalità è più "aperta", ha meno basse a più alte;
si va dal clean-boost (alzando il volume, con drive minimo) al
distorsore(ruotando il tone verso destra e il drive).
OCD versions, the straight poop: OCD's are now version4 (we call 'em v1.4),
have been out for 3 months+, anything serial # 16,061 and higher IS THE
NEWEST VERSION regardless of cosmetics, screws, or LED color. V1.4 has
more even harmonics, sweeter top-end, and a different Taper on the
volume pot to make it more friendly.You will only find v1.4 in stores
most likely, so don't worry. Finally, There are no mods or instructions
to mod offered at this time or anytime soon.

the pedal, doing the entire range of sounds with the guitar's volume
knob.
AMPS....if you've ever owned a GREAT amp, like a Marshall 18 watt, a VOX
AC15, a Marshall JTM45 and if you have a place where you can crank them
up loud, then you know what I'm talking about...
Smack a power chord and you (not only) hear the fundamental notes...but
you get (count 'em) 4, 5, even 6 additional overtones ringing into a
feedback... notes that you can whistle if your ear is good enough! Think;
Zep's "Ocean," "Custard Pie," Classic tones including James Gang, the
Beatles, AC/DC, FREE., etc.
Back off the guitar's volume and there are a dozen great other sounds at
your fingertips... Clean, spanky sounds, with all the highs and lows
still intact. And a Tele still sounds like a Tele, a Les Paul like a Les
Paul.
PEDALS (until now) just can't hold a candle to what a good amp can do if
you are really picky. You not only lose all the touch sensitivity, but
forget about those complex Harmonics. (For me) It's always been somewhat
of a compromise using Overdrive pedals... until now. Ladies and
Gentleman, I am proud to introduce the Fulltone OCD. I made this pedal
for me, but I think you might like it too.
